Public Statement – Scam Alert
Important Notice – Misuse of Sabre’s Name in Fraudulent Schemes
Sabre has been made aware of incidents in Malaysia where individuals have been contacted by persons falsely claiming to represent Sabre. These scams have taken different forms, including:
• Fake job opportunities circulated through WhatsApp and other channels;
• Fraudulent requests for payments (e.g. so-called “linking fees” or rebates) misusing Sabre’s company name and registration details;
• Misrepresentation that such payments are “compulsory” under Bank Negara Malaysia regulations; and
• Other attempts to deceive the public by misusing Sabre’s name, logo, and company information.
We want to make it clear that these communications are not from Sabre. Sabre does not conduct recruitment activities through unsolicited WhatsApp groups or messages, nor do we request payments such as “rebates” or “linking fees” from members of the public.
If you are contacted in this way, please exercise caution and do not share personal or financial information. If in doubt, you may verify by reaching out directly to Sabre Malaysia through your usual Sabre contact or our local office.
We take such impersonation attempts seriously and appreciate the vigilance of those who have brought these incidents to our attention
